Here are the minutes of the Rules Meeting on December 5, 2009. The new rules for 2010 are as follows:

Meeting called to order at 2:10 PM by Owner Dave Freeman.

See Dave, Kevin, or Jamie for parts purchases. We will be dealing with Phantom chasis, and SKE Winged Outlaws.

Registered racers will get a certain percentage off for parts.

Trackside Services
-
Rent track for a certain price group price per hour. The price and day to be determined. The track will be prep for race condition to test.

Mandatory Clinic-Purple Plate Novice opened to new drivers and anybody who wants to attend. The clinic will be held on May 1st two hours prior to test and tune. We will go over track signals, braking, etc.

Shop Services

We will be providing the following shop services:

Tire prep; Tire cutting will be sent out; Kart setup will have the specs for Phantom, QRC, and SKE and will be using the same scales that will be used at the track; Kart engine rebuilding will be done and special milling projects will be done at Jamie’s house.

Full-time Kart Servicing-Racers can leave their karts for preventive maintenance and will make sure it is race ready and to the track the next race weekend. Service includes changing oil, lube bearings, wash, check for broken parts (parts replacement cost at an additional cost), changing spark plug at least every two races, new chain every four races, checking toe. Price to be determined, tentative rate to be $50 per week.

Staying with WKA rules.

Major problems-contact track owner immediately; other problems talk to track owner later at the end of the night.

Not all racers have to register to race. $20 registration price for track. Registered racers will pay $25 to race, and unregistered racers will pay $35, have no tech sticker, and will no receive points either.

Points will go with kart.

All drivers must attend drivers meeting and need to notify Dave otherwise.

Discuss problems with flagman after the race.

Track closes 1 hour after race ends.

No alcohol or controlled substances.

Races will start double file and restarts will start single file. No laps in-double file restart. Lineups, drivers will move forward and maybe blacked flagged for jumping restarts.

Protesting-ONLY TOP 3 FINISHERS CAN PROTEST.

More thatn 10 karts in one class for feature: Take top 4 finishers from each heat and top 2 from LCQ.

No metal nose cones with own fabrication for all classes.

Highly recommended: Chest protectors for all purple plate classes and gold plate classes.
